Not everything we feel has a place to go—this is one.

Life at Puichi

It’s a lesson for life.
Never would I have known that I would end up in such a beautiful world. It was more than what I expected it to be. The Almighty God has a plan for me through Sunbird Trust to a new horizon to add more colors to life.
A serene, beautiful village. Nature’s untouched, unharmed, and unheard. It’s a quiet, peaceful palace on earth where young and old live a life filled with tranquility. The warmest people I could ever meet. The excitement, willingness to welcome me, and accept me into their village were written all over their faces. I was most taken with their zeal to learn and grasp anything that is knowledge.
Yes, when interacting with people, I talk about my village back home, narrating the beauty of God’s grace. I seem to be adding masala so much on my own; however, I intended to let them know the difference and learn from each other.
When I am down and blue, when things go wrong, I was able to take in only because I know that I am responsible for the lives of those children, young and old, in the village. And I am very much accountable to God. Sometimes I pretend really hard to be strong and confident with what I am doing, while deep down my heart flutters, that things might go wrong if I am not extra careful.
I thought of many plans to make sure that my students are loved and cared for. I walk miles alone to make sure everything is ok. I keep each work hidden, not letting others know. Why? No one knows!
Sometimes, I would have silly misunderstandings here and there. Nevertheless, that was a minute reason to take into heart.
However, I am pretty sure that I have done my part. To some extent, I should say my life in Puichi wasn’t a waste page, yet a page filled with experiences of joy, happiness, laughter, and hurdles. It was indeed an enriching page.

Do you have such an experience that you’d be forever grateful for?
