  • What was my favourite drink in the past?

    What is your favorite drink?

My favorite drink could be a mango shake. I am not as fond of drinks as I used to be in the past, where I was crazy about a soft drink from a cola company. I would consume it instead of water and could go without eating food. However, over the years, I have shifted towards healthier drinks. Coffee is something I seldom drink, and fermented fruit juices are drinks I indulge in once in a blue moon.

  • Who are the Favorite people in the list?

Who are your favorite people to be around?

Parents and siblings are those I can never do without. I love having them around and spending 90% of my life with them. Then come my friends, who are strangely weird in their own way. I am grateful that they are always with me. Additionally, I love having kids around—not my own, but those in my neighborhood or school. I enjoy spending time with them and embracing life together.

  • Eye-opener encounter

I have been contemplating how people are blessed in different ways. I used to complain a lot about my life, feeling that I am not a lucky person and that I constantly stumble upon obstacles that set me back to square one. However, I have come to realize that I am blessed beyond compare, especially when I see how those around me can enjoy life with the minimum they have. This realization has been an eye-opener for me.

  • One of the Forefathers best ever gift for us today.

    Daily writing prompt
Share one of the best gifts you’ve ever received.

One of the best gifts I’ve ever received is none other than my culture and traditions inherited from my forefathers. I can’t be prouder of it, as they hold significant importance and are unique in their own right. I am grateful for the preservation of these traditions, passed down from generation to generation, even without formal documents or books, but through oral folk songs and tales. They have been instilled in the lives of the younger generations.

This is something that cannot be replaced, and its value is beyond compare.

  • Why do I fail in budgeting?

    Daily writing prompt
Write about your approach to budgeting.

To be frank, budgeting is something I have never been able to get right so far. Despite my continuous efforts to establish a specific budget for my monthly expenses, I find myself consistently falling short of the vision I have set for myself. Many times, I end up overspending, and this is not solely due to my personal expenses but also because of family-related expenditures. No matter how hard I try, I have never managed to gain control over this aspect.

Currently, my approach to budgeting is flexible, as I tend to utilize the available funds without prior budgeting. I am actively seeking ways to instill a proper budgeting habit so that I can achieve better financial management.

  • What is a patriotic person according to me!

    Daily writing prompt
Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?

Being patriotic is genuinely a very challenging personality trait one can ever have. It demands loyalty, devotion, love, and a strong sense of commitment. Personally, I don’t consider myself a particularly patriotic person. I see myself as a common netizen who hopes for the best in all aspects. I don’t appreciate inciting hate or enmity on any grounds. I am a firm believer in the principle of “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

I pray and hope that people, irrespective of their background, come to an understanding of love and refrain from trying to outsmart or overpower each other based on factors like identity, religion, caste, gender, or anything that promotes division.

Disclaimer: This is solely my personal view. It does not intend to cause harm to any individual or group on any grounds.

  • I Mistakenly carried a crochet Kit in my check-on bag at the airport

    Daily writing prompt
Have you ever unintentionally broken the law?

Hmm… Break a law? What exactly is the LAW we are referring to here? Are we talking about judicial law, school rules, or perhaps Mom’s law? Hehe… if it’s Mom’s law, then I have unintentionally or intentionally broken many of them. But the repercussions were not really pleasant. Well, you know how typical Indian moms are, right? Most of the time, it was not responding to her calls abruptly, especially in the early morning hours because my sleep always won over my sanity. And for that, I received a load of lectures that made my ears bleed. Haha, jokes apart, I have so far not gone against the law for any reasons. I am a law-abiding citizen, you know. Oh oh… wait, recently I carried a crochet kit in my carry-on bag, and it was confiscated by airport security. It was purely unintentional. I misjudged the criteria; I thought I had it in my checked baggage. So that was unintentional, and I meant no harm.

  • Why “Weaving the colors” would be my biography title?

    Daily writing prompt
If there was a biography about you, what would the title be?

If there were to be a biography about me, I would title it “Weaving the Colors.” I hold the belief that life is akin to tapestries of experiences, resembling various colors. As I absorb both the positive and negative aspects of these experiences and integrate them into my life, I see myself weaving different strands of colors to create a beautiful and marvelous attire. This process is a personal endeavor, and I take pride in the fact that it’s not a borrowed design but one that I’ve earned. So, “Weaving the Colors” would be a fitting title, as I continue to collect and intertwine the diverse strands to complete the unique pattern of my life.

PS: It’s actually coming very soon.

  • New parents at my age?

    Daily writing prompt
What were your parents doing at your age?

My parents were likely new parents at my age, navigating the challenges of caring for their one-month-old daughter. It’s possible that they felt utterly clueless, especially my dad, regarding the responsibilities of parenting and providing for a family of four. Alternatively, he may have been less concerned about finances during that time, as my grandmother, his mother, was receiving a government pension.

  • Rules for usage of electronic gadgets

    Daily writing prompt
If you had the power to change one law, what would it be and why?

One rule that I would consider changing is the strict enforcement of unnecessary regulations regarding the usage of electronic gadgets in workplaces. I believe this rule is impacting the work culture and the efficiency of task completion. Instead of applying stringent measures to the entire team, especially those who are genuinely contributing to their work, I propose a more flexible approach that acknowledges responsible gadget usage. This, in turn, could lead to a healthier work environment and improved productivity.
