  • Can I fast-forward my life?

Life always holds surprises that can send your adrenaline racing and take you from rock bottom to success. At times, I find myself questioning whether I was born into the right family, society, or place. However, whether you call it destiny or fate, I believe that we are where we are today due to who we are, who we will become, and our past experiences.

Having endured numerous challenges in life and finding myself barely hanging on, I don’t yearn to rewind or relive my life. Instead, I aspire to fast-forward to a point in life where I can genuinely say that I am grateful for my success.

Oh how I wish life can be like a TV remote where you can fast-forward the boring never ending drama 🥱🙃

Many people are unaware that I frequently experience a significant amount of pressure each day. I harbor numerous insecurities within, and the smiling, confident exterior does not accurately reflect my true self.

  • The perk of being the eldest child.

When was the first time you really felt like a grown up (if ever)?

The perk of being the eldest child in the family is that we tend to take on responsibilities earlier than others of the same age. Speaking from my life experiences, I can say that I was given the role of a big sister since the fourth grade. At times, I felt that I didn’t really enjoy my childhood like others did. I was expected to be a responsible sister to my younger siblings.

Fast forward to my early adulthood, the first time I realized that I was entering the realm of adulthood was when I was 15 years old. I felt that my friends of my age were somewhat immature, and it seemed like I didn’t quite belong with them. Our choices and tastes were entirely different, and I found myself more in tune with my older friends. That’s when I truly felt like a grown-up.
