  • Dr Leo 🐈

What’s good about having a pet? While they can be annoying at times, when they are cared for and trained properly, they truly become an integral part of our daily lives. I vividly remember years ago when my sisters had a pet cat named Leo. At first, I was quite resistant to him and didn’t encourage my sisters to keep him with us. However, over time, Leo slowly won me over.

He would come and sit beside me, curl up on my lap, and sometimes even “massage” my back and shoulders. It may sound hard to believe, but it’s true—he had his own gentle, affectionate way of showing care. Before I knew it, Leo wasn’t just a pet anymore; he had become a comforting and cherished presence in my life.

He seemed to sense when I was angry, and at times he would even appear upset with me—especially when I ignored him or forgot to feed him in my sister’s absence. Leo eagerly awaited my sister’s return from work each evening, a routine I hadn’t noticed at first. It was only after she pointed it out that I began to observe him more closely. To my surprise, I discovered that he faithfully waited by the door for her every single evening.

Having a pet at home can be a wonderful experience—but only if you’re truly able to care for it properly. Pets depend entirely on their owners for their well-being, so if you’re unsure about how to look after them or cannot meet their needs, it’s better not to have one at all. Responsible ownership is essential to ensure a happy and healthy life for any pet.

  • Spectacles here

Well, well, I have never owned a prized possession like others. I am a minimalist and prefer to spend the least on any possession. For some reason, I am not fond of owning jewelry or branded accessories, perhaps because I am not ready for it or cannot afford it at the moment. 🤫 But there’s one thing I can’t escape, and that’s my spectacles. I have been wearing them for over 10 years now, and I can’t imagine how much money I have spent on them. Sometimes it’s due to my carelessness, and probably because they are only valid for six months. So yeah, they are one of my most prized possessions at the moment.

  • PODCASTS? hehe

Podcasts? Well, I must admit, I rarely listen to podcasts… and by ‘rarely,’ I mean about 20% out of 100! 😁 I tend to lean more towards YouTube and other OTT platforms for my entertainment and inspiration. I find motivation and inspiration through video content, and it often encourages me to pick up good habits in life.

I sometimes think about giving podcasts a try, but I’ve come to realize that I might not be cut out for them. I lack the patience to sit and listen to audio without any accompanying action or movement. 🤣 So, I suppose I’m not a ‘podcast person’ after all.

  • Weirdest student in Hindi paper 😀

For some reason, I had a strong affinity for the Hindi paper, even though I didn’t fully understand the language or know how to speak it. I consistently scored well in Hindi due to my strong writing skills. Reading the text and learning the spellings of the lessons came easily to me. It was somewhat puzzling to me that my classmates struggled with this subject and found it challenging to score well.

My teachers were amazed by my performance and even encouraged me to learn the meanings of the words. Psst: Interestingly, I still haven’t learned to speak Hindi fluently, but I have a good grasp of the meanings. In fact, I can even teach kindergarten children the meanings of Hindi words! 😂

  • How do you manage your screen time?

I’m trying to manage my screen time, but I’ve been facing some challenges. I’ve set specific time limits for my screen usage and set reminders to close particular apps when my screen time is up. Additionally, I’ve been trying to engage in other activities like reading books or doing other tasks to distract myself from the screen. However, I’m still struggling to effectively manage my screen time as I often find myself overusing my phone, mindlessly scrolling.

Managing screen time can be a continuous effort, and it’s important to explore additional strategies that can help me stay on track and reduce unnecessary phone usage.
